One of my favorite Parelli Patterns On-Line and at Liberty is the Figure 8 Pattern. It’s a great test of your horse’s Responsiveness and Connection. And remember, one of the purposes of your groundwork is to get your horse Calm, Connected and Responsive.

A common problem that I see students experience is that instead of drawing in a Figure 8 pattern around the barrel, the horse continues to circle behind the student. Often, we are in the wrong position, blocking the horse from going the desired direction.

Here is a quick video tip to help you find the "Sweet Spot" to make it easier for your horse to go the right direction. Have fun, and remember…The more I learn, the smarter my horse gets!
